Burberry trenchcoats are designed to last a lifetime because they are made from the highest quality fabrics and materials. The trenchcoats that we sell at Gimme Glitter are usually from the 80s or 90s and are still in amazing condition. They were made to protect the wearer against rain so are made from water-repellent cotton gabardine, a fabric invented by Thomas Burberry in 1879. This innovative cloth is woven from fine, compacted cotton in a special structure that prevents water from permeating the fabric. This means that the coats are water-repellent so they protect you from the rain but they’re not 100% waterproof. We would love to give you a little tip to maintain the quality of your Burberry trenchcoat: If your trenchcoat needs a refresher we advise you to get it professionally dry-cleaned so the quality will stay as perfect for the many years you will use it.
There is a big price difference between new Burberry trenchcoats, and the vintage Burberry trenchcoats you can find at Gimme Glitter. A new Burberry trenchcoat cost between 1000 and 5000 euros, but a vintage Burberry trenchcoat at Gimme Glitter costs between 300 and 500 euros. Our vintage trenchcoats are usually in amazing (almost new) condition, due to the fact that all items in our store are handpicked and carefully selected on condition and quality. Burberry trenchcoats will always retain their value because they get harder and harder to find. As the trench becomes more popular every day and people are searching for a good vintage one we believe that the prices will even increase year by year. That’s why we’d say you’re just making a good investment by buying your vintage Burberry trenchcoat at Gimme Glitter
We love a good vintage Burberry trench and that’s why we always try to have a good variety in stock. We have them in different shapes, sizes and colors. It’s only when we started selling Burberry Trenchcoats that we noticed that there are over 100 shades of beige. We’ve sold them all but we sometimes get one in with a pop of color or, black or a navy one. We buy in every trenchcoat that is in beautiful condition and we can get our hands on. As they sell so fast it’s always good to buy the one you’re eyeing before it’s too late.
